[James does a rather spectacular job of ignoring his stalker for quite some time. He needs to get his glasses checked because he doesn't notice it until the third shop, that someone is jumping back into the shadows when he turns around. It raises all the hair on the back of his neck. Reminds him of when Snivellus used to skulk about the castle and wait for the perfect time to hex James or one of his friends.
Not that Snivvy is stupid enough to repeat that mistake again now, in a crowded and public place but that doesn't solve the issue of who is following him and why.
So he rounds a corner, and waits pressed against the brick and when his new friend comes around too, he reaches out to grab a fistful of robes.]
